The automatic peripheral pump is relatively quiet among water pump products, but due to certain conditions and faults, the noise of the automatic peripheral pump will increase, and sometimes the noise is even unbearable. The loud noise of the automatic peripheral pump is also a relatively common situation that users report to us during use. After studying their specific situation, we have investigated and found that it is mainly caused by the following reasons.
1. Pump noise caused by improper installation
During the installation, we pay attention to one level, two stability, and three robustness. Flat refers to the level. When installing the water pump, the feet must be kept level (except in special cases) and cannot be tilted. Robustness means that the foundation of the installation must be solid and stable, one side cannot be on the ground and the other side is suspended. In addition, in order to avoid noise caused by resonance, the foot of the automatic peripheral pump should be equipped with vibration-absorbing pads, and the inlet and outlet should be equipped with expansion joints (soft joints). Why do you want to do this? Because the motor of the water pump has a certain amount of noise and slight vibration when it is working, if the vibration-proof pad is not installed, there will be a chain reaction between the water pump and the foundation, and the resonance will strengthen the vibration. If the inlet and outlet are not equipped with expansion joints, the vibration, and noise of the motor will be transmitted to the pipeline, and the pipeline is like a resonance cavity, which will further strengthen the vibration and noise. At the same time, the pipeline will also emit sound and vibration under the action of water flow resistance and pressure in the pipeline, so expansion joints must be installed to eliminate resonance between the pipeline and the water pump.
2. Noise caused by an unbalanced water pump impeller
Some water pumps have been used for a long time, and the impeller is injured by debris sucked into the pump cavity during work or other reasons causing the impeller to lose balance, light on the left and heavy on the right, and anticlimactic. At this time, when the motor is working at high speed, it will cause The load-bearing strength of the motor bearings to be different, resulting in noise. At the same time, the motor shaft will also be affected by the unbalanced impeller, which will cause noise.
3. Noise caused by bearing damage
Some customers install the water pump outdoors and use it without any cover. The rainwater will be sucked from the motor fan cover by the fan blades. If it invades the motor back cover bearing chamber, the bearing will be oxidized and rusted, and the bearing ball will no longer be smooth. , mechanical noise will be emitted. If it is installed indoors, this kind of problem will generally not occur, but there will be another situation. If the mechanical seal is damaged and is not replaced in time, it can still be used. If the water is not cut off, the mechanical seal will lose its sealing effect, and the pump cavity will be damaged when the pump is working. The internal pressure causes the water in the pump body to spray out. The water-retaining ring on the motor shaft can protect the motor bearing from water intrusion in a short period of time, but if more and more water is sprayed and invades the bearing chamber, the bearing will also be damaged. At this time, the sound of the water pump at work may be as loud as a train running over the rails.
